The New Gallery: Public Reception of Form Letters - Heather Passmore (Vancouver, BC): Passionately embracing the adage that one should make lemonade when faced with an abundance of lemons, artist Heather Passmore has kept every single exhibition proposal rejection letter that she's received in the course of her career. Passmore then executes beautifully detailed mixed-media drawings on and within the often perfunctory text of these form letters, effectively subverting their potential negative reinforcement.
UPPERCASE Gallery: UPPERCASE is pleased to launch their latest book: Work/Life 2: the directory of international illustration. Featuring 100 talented artists from around the world, the book delves into what fuels the creative life with peeks into studios, sketchbooks and inspirations.
