Join Tracy Proctor in a fun and inspiring environment for one of her awesome encaustic workshops! This is a hands on workshop focusing on many encaustic techniques as well as her own unique approach to the art of painting with beeswax! No experience is needed. You only need to bring your creative self!
Once, the ancient medium of the Greeks 2500 years ago, Encaustic Painting has experienced huge popularity in the contemporary art community. Hot molten beeswax, pigments, and tree resin make up your palette as you create luminous texture with an infinite number of techniques!
All Workshops and classes take place in Tracy’s home studio in Glenbrook (about 10 minutes southwest of Calgary’s downtown core). Attendance is limited to only 5 students for plenty of individualized attention & work space. Tracy encourages students to learn & experiment with a vast variety of encaustic techniques by creating a sample board as well as completed art which they will take home for future reference.
